Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Authors I’ve Read the Most Books By. Goodreads used to have a feature where you could see a list of your most read authors, but unfortunately this was discontinued last year. So I had to manually search for authors I’ve read the most books by in my Read shelf. A lot of these are from various book series.
J.K. Rowling – 8 books
I’m guessing most of us have read the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Besides the 7 original books, I’ve also read Very Good Lives which is nonfiction.
George R.R. Martin – 7 books
I highly recommend George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. However, it’s still incomplete! The Winds of Winter is the forthcoming (hopefully soon) next installment.
Jane Austen – 6 books
Jane Austen is my favourite author so it’s no surprise that she appears on this list!
Philippa Gregory – 6 books
I read all of the books in The Cousins’ War series by Philippa Gregory after watching The White Queen TV adaptation. It’s safe to say I was fascinated by the powerful Plantagenet women each of her historical fiction novels are based on.
Stephenie Meyer – 5 books
The Twilight books are huge, but I devoured them (get it?) Will I also read Midnight Sun? You betcha a sparkling vampire I am.
Roald Dahl – 5 books
I was a fan of Roald Dahl’s books as a child, especially Fantastic Mr Fox.
Alice Oseman – 4 books
Alice Oseman is one of my new favourite authors. I love the Heartstopper graphic novel series and her novels are also on my TBR.
Sue Townsend – 4 books
So far I have read 4 books in the Adrian Mole series by Sue Townsend. I would like to read more of them, that is if I can find the rest of the books in my local libraries.
Mhairi McFarlane – 3 books
Love Mhairi McFarlane’s novels! She is a brilliant romance author and I can’t wait to read more from her.
Alison Goodman – 3 books
Alison Goodman has written The Lady Helen series which is a delicious blend of historical fiction and fantasy. The final installment, The Dark Days Deceit, is on my TBR. I think she is quite underrated as an author.
