Top Ten Tuesday: All-Time Favourite Books

Top Ten Tuesday is 10 years old today! This is a wonderful meme which has introduced me to so many books and amazing blogs!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

To celebrate, I have chosen a previous TTT topic from its infancy and that is All-Time Favourite Books. You’d think this would be a piece of cake (see what I did there?) but it was actually really difficult to compile my all-time favourites! So here are just some of my favourite books ever, in no particular order.

The Heartstopper series

Heartstopper Volume 3

The Catcher in the Rye

Pride and Prejudice

Great Expectations

What are your all-time favourite books? Have you read any of the books on this list? Let me know in the comments and feel free to link your Top Ten Tuesday post!

  1. I haven’t read the first one or the second one which I did tried to read but I barely got pass the first chapter, didn’t read 5, nor 8 or 9.

Pride & Prejudice – definitely a favorite of mine. I read Great Expectations a few months ago, it was okay, kind of depressing and I didn’t like where the story went after the first few chapters which I thought was quite good, the subtle, slightly happy ending just makes me like the book even less. Jane Eyre used to be a favorite but now I’m more of into Anne Bronte’s books. Harry Potters – still a favorite.

I tried to read Little Women a few times but I found it so dull. Somewhere between seeing the first movie and then trying to read it a second, I gave up and then I tried again this year and I couldn’t finish reading but now I think I might try reading it again next year if only to see why people love it so much.

I won’t say what is my all time favorites, the list can change over time so I try not to make such lists anymore.

    Have a lovely day.

    1. I’m happy to hear Pride & Prejudice and Harry Potter are favourites of yours too! I haven’t read anything by Anne Bronte yet, although I need to.

Maybe you could try the audiobook of Little Women?

I can understand that! Our reading tastes can definitely change over time.

Thank you for your comment, Lissa! You too, have a lovely day ✨

  2. So many good ones! The only one I haven’t read is The Heartstopper series, but I loved all your other choices. Especially P & P. I could reread it over and over. ❤
