Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. So hey… I’m a little late writing this post, but I couldn’t resist this week’s topic which is the First Ten Books I Reviewed. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane! I fully expect my cringe glands to explode 😊 The reviews are linked to the titles.
Rhett Butler’s People by Donald McCaig
Ah, my very first book review from all the way back in 2013. I love Gone With the Wind. This book made me angry. Hence I wrote a passionate rant/review and rated it 2 stars.
Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
Wuthering Heights is one of the few classics that I reviewed. I remember feeling a little emotional after reading a scene from this book.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
This might sound controversial, but I thought Perks was okay. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more as a teenager. I have yet to see the film adaptation.
The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory
I started reading The Cousins’ War series after watching The White Queen miniseries. This novel got me hooked on the heroines from the Wars of the Roses.
The White Queen by Philippa Gregory
I got a real kick out of Philippa Gregory’s historical fiction novels back in the day.
The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory
Wow, my reviews used to be really long and almost always contained spoilers. Whilst I didn’t like Margaret Beaufort’s character, I did enjoy this book.
The Kingmaker’s Daughter by Philippa Gregory
My favourite book in The Cousins’ War series! This offers a fascinating glimpse into the life of Anne Neville.
The White Princess by Philippa Gregory
Here’s how my review for this book begins: “The White Princess is the fifth book in The Cousins’ War series. I think I’m turning into a Philippa Gregory fan!”. True that.
How to Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran
The first non-fiction book I reviewed! Caitlin Moran’s writing style is eloquent and some of her personal stories are hilarious.
Carrie by Stephen King
Carrie is the only book I have read by Stephen King so far. As someone who is a scaredy-cat, I actually liked this thrilling horror novel.
Do you remember the first books you ever reviewed? Have you read any of the books on this list? Let me know in the comments and feel free to link your Top Ten Tuesday post!

I haven’t read any books on your list. I still have The Perks of being a Wallflower on my shelf to read. Did you watch the movie? Which is better if you did.

I actually haven’t watched the movie yet, but I would like to see how it compares to the book! Hope you enjoy reading Perks, Jasmine! 🙂

Yeah, Carrie is a great book. Do you think you’ll ever read any other of Stephen King’s works?
