I Spy Book Challenge

I Spy Book Challenge

I was tagged for The I Spy Book Challenge a little while ago by the wonderful Kelly @ Another Book in the Wall. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out her blog! This challenge looks like so much fun!

Find a book that contains (either on the cover or in the title) an example for each category. You must have a separate book for all 20, get as creative as you want and do it within five minutes!!

So… it actually took me longer than 5 minutes 😊 I chose a mixture of books which I have read and on my TBR, with a little help from Goodreads.

1. Food

Since You've Been Gone

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

Such a cute cover! I’m looking forward to reading this book.

2. Transportation

30724132

Geekerella by Ashley Poston

This sounds like a cool Cinderella retelling.

3. Weapon

a game of thrones

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

Even the Iron Throne is made up of swords! Talk about uncomfortable!

4. Animal

American Panda

American Panda by Gloria Chao

A contemporary YA novel about a Taiwanese-American teen.

One of Us is Lying

One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus

A great YA mystery novel which kept me guessing.

Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley

I adore the cover of Words in Deep Blue which is a mosaic of blue books 📘

Ross Poldark

Ross Poldark by Winston Graham

I’ve recently started to watch Poldark and it’s a brilliant historical drama.

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh

None of my local libraries seem to have this book. Sigh.

The Kingmaker's Daughter

The Kingmaker’s Daughter by Philippa Gregory

My favourite book in The Cousins’ War series. It’s the story of Anne Neville and can be read as a standalone novel.

10. Architecture

The Thousandth Floor

The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee

A futuristic YA novel which is on my TBR.

11. Clothing Item

26074181

The Crown by Kiera Cass

I know they say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I want to read The Selection series purely because of this stunning cover.

12. Family Member

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

As a fan of old Hollywood, I can’t wait to read this intriguing book.

13. Time of Day

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

A captivating YA fantasy retelling of One Thousand and One Nights.

We Are Young by Cat Clarke

A contemporary YA book which is on my TBR. It deals with heavy themes like death and mental health.

15. Paranormal Being

Vampire Diaries - The Awakening

The Awakening by L.J. Smith

This prompt was tricky so I went for an obvious choice! I’ve only read the first two Vampire Diaries books, but I much prefer the TV series.

16. Occupation

The Prince and the Dressmaker

The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang

This graphic novel sounds so good!
